Inspired by her surroundings, Imogen’s experimentalist jewellery takes influence from both architecture and nature combined - from the tallest building to the shyest flower. Delicate porcelain fragments are enrobed in the textured metals of gilded bronze, silver,steel and gold with pendants, rings and necklaces taking on an organic twist. Imogen Belfield’s hand crafted work represents many hours of careful thought and inspiration. Experimenting with porcelain, gemstones, metals, dyes and glaze and creating casts from paper, plastics and even fruits, she aims to create work that is at once beautiful and challenging; modern yet classic, bold yet subtle.
